About Us
A legacy of culture, confidence & community
The Miss New Haven Puerto Rican Queen Pageant has grown from a neighborhood celebration into one of Connecticut's most cherished cultural traditions.
Our Story
What began as a small community gathering in New Haven's Fair Haven neighborhood has blossomed into a beloved annual tradition. A group of Puerto Rican mothers and grandmothers, determined to pass their heritage to the next generation, organized the very first pageant.
Today, the pageant celebrates the achievements of young Puerto Rican women across Greater New Haven — honoring their scholarship, talent, and dedication to community service. Each queen carries forward a crown woven from culture, pride, and the love of her community.
